Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. You will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure an exceptional guest experience across the patient journey.

Responsibilities include vitals, injections, phlebotomy, medication administration, and coordinating with the care team on patient plans; you will handle front desk tasks and help maintain a seamless clinical flow.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• National or state MA certification or registration preferred/required in applicable states.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked.
• Review prior medical information and collect updates for the provider.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, injections, and wound care; assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed.
• Coordinate care plans with the team and address gaps in care.
• Front desk tasks: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/out.
• Document in medical records per guidelines and communicate results.
• Participate in outreach to engage eligible patient groups.
• Maintain clinic supplies and equipment for treatments.
