Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in a comprehensive primary care model. You will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience across our onsite and virtual services.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, phlebotomy, injections, preparing medications, front-desk duties, and coordinating care plans with the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred; required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Review prior medical information and obtain updated health data from the patient to inform the provider.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations per order from the Provider.
• Coordinate with care team to develop individual patient care plans and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, medical records requests, documentation, referrals, check-in/out.
• Record data in the medical record per guidelines and manage test results communications.
• Assist with outreach to patients to drive engagement among eligible groups.
