Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Wisconsin. The role supports both clinical tasks and front-desk duties, delivering excellent patient care and a welcoming guest experience under the direction of a primary care physician.

Candidates should have at least 1 year MA experience, graduation from an MA program, CPR/BLS certification, and ideally phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care. May vary based on clinic needs
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program; MA certification/register strongly preferred
• MA certification or registration is required where mandated by state
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to room and ensures exam rooms are cleaned and stocked
• Reviews previous medical information and gathers updated health data
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures
• Work with contracted labs for additional tests
• Prepares and administers medications and immunizations per provider orders
• Partner with care team to develop patient plan of care and address gaps
• Front desk duties: scheduling, medical record requests, referrals, check-in/out
• Records data in the medical record per guidelines
• Process test results and relay to patient via e-message, mail or phone
• Participates in outreach to engage eligible patient groups
• Maintains clinical and office supplies and equipment
