Job summary

Marathon Health in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. The Medical Assistant will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and a welcoming guest experience, performing both front-desk duties and core clinical responsibilities.

You will assist with vitals, injections, specimen collection, immunizations, and rooming patients, while helping coordinate referrals and physician workflows in a fast-paced primary care setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience with primary care preferred.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related training.
• MA certification/registration preferred; CPR/BLS required at start.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms, take vitals, and assist with procedures.
• Administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/out.
• Document patient data accurately in medical records and manage test results.
• Coordinate with care team to address gaps in care and outreach to patients.

Skills

Medical Assistant experience

CPR/BLS

Phlebotomy

Certification preferred

Education

Graduation from Medical Assistant program

National or state MA certification/registration preferred
