Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Ridgeland, MS. The Medical Assistant works closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and a welcoming guest experience.

Responsibilities include vitals, injections, phlebotomy, and front-desk tasks, while supporting the full patient journey from check-in to discharge. Certification, CPR/BLS, and MA training are required, with opportunities to grow in a high-trust, value-based care

Formación

• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred; required where certification/registration is required by state.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Escorts patients to room and ensures exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Reviews previous medical information and gathers updated health information from the patient.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Prepares and administers medications and immunizations per written order from the Provider.
• Partners with care team to develop patient plan of care and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, documentation, referrals, and care coordination.
• Records data in the medical record according to guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate with patients as directed.
• Participates in outreach to engage eligible patient groups.
• Maintains clinical and office supplies and equipment.
