Job summary

Marathon Health in Missouri is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. The MA will work closely with a primary care physician, performing clinical tasks and front-desk duties to deliver excellent patient care and a welcoming guest experience.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, blood draws, injections, assisting with procedures, coordinating tests, and documenting in the medical record, while supporting the overall patient journey within our value-based model.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• National or state MA certification or registration strongly preferred.
• MA certification or registration may be required in some states.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform phlebotomy, injections, and wound care.
• Assist with procedures and coordinate tests with contracted labs.
• Prepare and administer medications under Provider order; document in medical records.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and patient communication.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
