Marathon Health, LLC in Asheville, NC is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. The MA will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and a welcoming guest experience, covering both front desk duties and clinical tasks.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, drawing blood, administering injections, assisting with procedures, managing patient flow, updating medical records, coordinating referrals, and supporting outreach to engage

Qualifications

• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred; certification/registration required where mandated.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date; phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and coordinating care outside the clinic.
• Maintain accurate data in the medical record and communicate results to patients as directed.
• Participate in outreach to engage eligible patient groups.
