Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. The MA collaborates with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and a welcoming guest experience, acting as both a Medical Receptionist and clinical support.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals, assisting procedures, and coordinating with labs and providers to ensure timely, accurate care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is preferred/required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform basic procedures, and assist with tests as directed.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as ordered by the Provider.
• Maintain patient records and coordinate with the care team for the plan of care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and communication with patients.
