Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Mechanicsville, VA. The Medical Assistant will support a primary care physician, manage patient flow, and contribute to an exceptional guest experience.

The role involves taking vitals, preforming injections, assisting with procedures, and coordinating with labs and the care team. A formal MA program graduate with CPR/BLS is preferred, with at least 1 year in a primary care context.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Record data in medical records and coordinate with labs and providers.
• Front desk duties such as scheduling, documentation, referrals, and patient intake.
