Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our primary care team. You will work closely with a licensed physician to deliver excellent patient care and ensure a welcoming guest experience for our patients. The role combines medical assisting with front-d desk responsibilities in a busy, patient-centered environment.

We value compassionate care, attention to detail, and teamwork. CPR/BLS certification is required at start date, and phlebotomy is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred and may be required by state law.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked.
• Review patient information and gather updated health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, draw blood, give injections, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the physician.
• Collaborate with care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties including scheduling, records requests, and referrals.
• Record data in the medical record and ensure documentation guidelines are followed.
• Process test results and communicate outcomes to patients as instructed.
