Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience.

This role combines clinical responsibilities with front desk duties to ensure a seamless patient journey. Responsibilities include taking vitals, assisting with procedures, administering medications, coordinating referrals, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred or required by state.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals and assist with injections and procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, chart requests, referrals, and records documentation.
• Communicate test results to patients as directed by the Provider.
• Assist in care coordination to address gaps in care.
