Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team, supporting a primary care physician in delivering high-quality patient care and an exceptional guest experience. The role blends clinical duties with front-desk responsibilities to manage the full patient experience.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, performing procedures, assisting with immunizations and medications, and coordinating tests and referrals while maintaining accurate records and delivering

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration strongly preferred; required in some states.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are stocked.
• Review patient information and update health data for providers.
• Take vitals, draw blood, administer injections, and assist with procedures.
• Work with contracted labs for additional tests.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as ordered by the Provider.
• Collaborate with care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, record requests, and referrals.
• Document data accurately in the medical record per guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate outcomes to patients as directed.
