Job summary

Marathon Health in Lakeland, FL is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. You will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and a seamless guest experience, combining front-desk duties with clinical responsibilities.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of MA experience in primary care, graduation from an MA program, and CPR/BLS certification. We offer competitive benefits, PTO, and no out-of-pocket costs for scrubs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred; required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform venipuncture, and assist with procedures.
• Work with contracted labs for additional tests and document results.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, and referrals.
