Job summary

Marathon Health in Lakeland, FL is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. You will support a primary care physician and deliver exceptional patient care, acting as both a patient navigator and clinical support.

The role covers clinical duties and front-desk responsibilities for a smooth patient experience. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of MA experience, formal MA training, and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration strongly preferred; certification/registration required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are stocked.
• Take vitals and assist with procedures as directed.
• Front desk duties including scheduling and medical records requests.
• Process test results and communicate with patients as instructed by the Provider.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
