Valor Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a passionate Medical Assistant for the Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Durango. The role is 4 days a week, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, supporting the PACT team with patient care and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities include assisting with exams, scheduling, handling lab specimens, and ensuring compliance with VA guidelines. Strong English, customer service, and EMR skills are required.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma or certificate of an accredited program.
• Minimum two-years' experience as an MA in a related primary care or ambulatory care setting.
• Must be in good standing with VA; credentialing may be required.
• Current license in the state of employment (or applicable US state/territory).
• BLS certification; ACLS as per VAMC contract.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong computer skills, including EMR experience.

Aufgaben

• Assist with patient care, physical exams, and related tests.
• Schedule clinic appointments and manage wait lists and PCMM assignments.
• Answer phones and relay messages promptly.
• Prepare patient check-in and medication lists for next day.
• Collect lab specimens (urine, blood, sputum) for testing.
• Operate ECG and other diagnostic equipment for routine tests.
• Ensure compliance with OIG, JC, EOC, and lab standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff.
• Support clinic enrollment and outreach activities.
• Embrace new clinical or operational initiatives.
