Job summary

Axis Health System seeks a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting. You will prepare for visits, document vitals, and assist providers with procedures, while coordinating patient flow and telehealth as needed.

The role requires a High School Diploma/GED with 1 year of MA or clinical support experience; CMA certification is preferred. Local differential and benefits are offered at the Durango site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of medical assistant or clinical support experience.
• CMA certification preferred for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for patient visits and maintain clean exam rooms.
• Take and document vital signs; assist in minor procedures.
• Room patients and document medications, allergies and concerns.
• Administer point of care tests and immunizations as directed.
• Obtain prior authorizations and coordinate referrals as needed.
• Support providers with clinic flow and telehealth visits.
