Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate for MA from an accredited program.
• Two years MA experience in primary or ambulatory care preferred.
• Certification and license requirements per VA/contracting rules.
• BLS (and ACLS where specified) and VA credentialing may apply.
• Excellent English communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient care, examinations, and ancillary tests.
• Schedule clinic appointments and manage recall entries.
• Answer phones and relay messages promptly.
• Prepare patient check-in lists with medication information.
• Collect lab specimens for testing (blood, urine, sputum).
• Operate ECG and other diagnostic equipment as directed.
• Support compliance with OIG/JC/EOC and lab requirements.
• Deliver high-quality patient care per VA guidelines.
• Provide excellent service to patients and colleagues.
• Participate in clinic outreach and enrollment activities.
