Valor Healthcare is seeking a Medical Assistant to support care at the Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Washington, PA. You will deliver prescribed treatment, assist with exams, and collaborate with the PACT team to develop patient care plans.

Responsibilities include patient care, lab specimen collection, ECG operation, and thorough documentation while ensuring VA guidelines are followed. Strong English skills and a patient-service mindset are essential.

Competenze

• Diploma or certificate of an accredited MA program.
• Two years of MA experience in primary or ambulatory care, government healthcare preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support certification, ACLS as required by VA contract.
• Must be licensed/credentialed in the state of employment and in good standing with VA.
• Proficient in English with strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Mansioni

• Assist with patient care, exams, and ancillary tests.
• Schedule clinic appointments and manage patient lists and recalls.
• Answer phones and relay messages promptly.
• Prepare patient check-in materials and medication list for next day.
• Collect lab specimens (urine, blood, sputum) for testing.
• Operate ECG and diagnostic equipment per VA guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with OIG, JC, and lab requirements.
• Support patient enrollment and outreach initiatives.
