Zusammenfassung

Valor Healthcare is seeking a passionate Medical Assistant to join the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Danville. You will provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care under physician guidance, collaborating with the core PACT Team including RN and MA.

This role requires a diploma or certificate from an accredited program, 2+ years MA experience in primary care, BLS and ACLS per VA contract, and strong English with EMR skills.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma or certificate from an accredited program; phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Minimum two years’ MA experience in primary/ambulatory care; VA contract preferred.
• Must be in good standing with VA; credentialing may be required.
• Unrestricted license in the state of employment; VA requirements may apply.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS as required by VA contract.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Strong computer skills with EMR experience.

Aufgaben

• Assist with patient care, examinations, and tests.
• Schedule clinic appointments and manage recalls/entries.
• Answer phones and relay messages promptly.
• Prepare and organize patient check-in and medication lists.
• Collect lab specimens (urine, blood, sputum) for testing.
• Operate ECG and other diagnostic equipment for routine tests.
• Ensure compliance with OIG, JC, EOC, and lab standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff.
• Support outreach and enrollment activities.
• Embrace new clinical or operational initiatives.
