Job summary

Valor Healthcare is seeking a passionate Medical Assistant to join our Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Cranberry Twp, PA. This full-time role (32 hours per week, four days) supports VA patients and collaborates with the PACT team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

You'll perform front-line patient care, assist with examinations, collect specimens, operate diagnostic equipment, maintain EMR records, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in an accredited MA program.
• Two years of MA experience in primary or ambulatory care; VA contract preferred.
• Valid license to practice in the state of employment or as per VA requirements.
• BLS certification (ACLS as required by VA contracts).

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care, physical exams, and related tests.
• Schedule clinic appointments and manage wait lists and recalls.
• Answer phones and relay messages.
• Prepare patient check-in lists with medication information for next day.
• Collect lab specimens (urine, blood, sputum) for testing.
• Operate ECG and other diagnostic equipment for routine tests.
