Job summary

Endeavor Health is recruiting a Medical Assistant to support a busy Primary Care office. The role involves preparing patients for examinations, collecting specimens, and performing routine lab tests under physician supervision.

The MA may administer injections and handle related clerical duties to keep clinic operations running smoothly. Qualified candidates hold a high school diploma or GED and CMA/RMA/CCMA certification with CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or CCMA certification required; current certification preferred.
• Non-certified candidates must have at least one year of clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification required by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Supervisor, performs select clinical functions to enhance delivery of patient care. Prepare patients for physical examination, obtain specimens, conduct routine laboratory tests and record results, may perform phlebotomy. Administer selected medications/injections. Also performs clerical duties related to clinic operations.

Hourly Pay Range:

$20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Medical Assistant


• Location: 5999 New Wilke Rd, Rolling Meadows


• Full time 40 hours


• Hours: MWF 7am - 5 T TH 7am - 7pm and Sat rotation


• Required Travel: Occasional


• This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs

What you will do:

• Under the direction of the Supervisor, performs select clinical functions to enhance delivery of patient care. Prepare patients for physical examination, obtain specimens, conduct select routine laboratory tests and records results, routine diagnostic tests and may perform phlebotomy. Under general supervision of a physician, administer selected medications/injections. Also performs clerical duties related to clinic operations. MA supports a very busy Primary Care office with multiple providers and additional clinical staff.

What you will need:

• High school diploma or GED - REQUIRED


• Certified, Registered, and Clinical Certified Medical Assistants (CMA, RMA or CCMA) are required to provide current certification or registration through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), National Health career Association (NHA) or any other certifying agency and should have at least 6 months of clinical experience. - PREFERRED


• Candidates who are not certified or registered should have at least one year of clinical experience. - PREFERRED


• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association. - REQUIRED
