Job summary

Endeavor Health in Rolling Meadows is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a busy Primary Care office with multiple providers. You will prepare patients for exams, obtain specimens, conduct routine lab tests, and record results.

Phlebotomy may be performed, under the supervision of a physician. This full-time role (40 hours weekly) follows a schedule of M/W/F 7am-5pm, T/TH 7am-7pm, with Saturday rotations and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certification/registration as CMA, RMA or CCMA is required with up-to-date credentials; 6 months clinical experience preferred.
• If not certified, at least 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and collect specimens.
• Perform select routine laboratory tests and record results.
• May perform phlebotomy under physician supervision.
• Administer selected medications/injections as directed.
• Support clerical clinic operations to keep the office running smoothly.

$20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

Full time 40 hours

Hours: MWF 7am - 5 T TH 7am - 7pm and Sat rotation

Required Travel: Occasional

What you will do

Under the direction of the Supervisor, performs select clinical functions to enhance delivery of patient care. Prepare patients for physical examination, obtain specimens, conduct select routine laboratory tests and records results, routine diagnostic tests and may perform phlebotomy. Under general supervision of a physician, administer selected medications/injections. Also performs clerical duties related to clinic operations. MA supports a very busy Primary Care office with multiple providers and additional clinical staff.

What you will need

• High school diploma or GED - REQUIRED
• Certified, Registered, and Clinical Certified Medical Assistants (CMA, RMA or CCMA) are required to provide current certification or registration through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), National Health career Association (NHA) or any other certifying agency and should have at least 6 months of clinical experience. - PREFERRED
• Candidates who are not certified or registered should have at least one year of clinical experience. - PREFERRED
• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association. - REQUIRED
