Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for Primary Care Pediatrics in Vernon Hills, IL. This full-time role supports front desk and clinical tasks within a busy pediatric practice.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, documenting vitals, and assisting with basic procedures. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and at least one year of relevant experience; medical assisting coursework is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; medical assisting program preferred but not required.
• CPR certification through ACLS? (through American Heart Association) required; MA certification preferred but not required.
• One year of work experience; prior medical office experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.

• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for visit.
• Provide front office support as needed.
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight.

$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Medical Assistant (MA) - Primary Care Pediatrics

Position Highlights:

• Position: Medical Assistant


• Location: Vernon Hills, IL


• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time

• Hours: Monday-Thursday, rotating hours between 6:30am - 6pm, Friday between 7:30am - 5pm and rotating Saturdays between 7:30am - 1pm


• Required Travel: Travel to other sites based upon department needs.

What you will do:

• Greet patients and escort them to exam room


• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit


• Provide front office support as needed


• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight


• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

What you will need:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required


• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.


• Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
