Job summary

Endeavor Health's Vernon Hills location is seeking a Medical Assistant in Primary Care to greet patients, document vitals, and support front-office tasks. The role includes performing basic measurements and may require phlebotomy and injections.

CPR certification is required, with a preferred but not mandatory MA certification and one year of healthcare experience. The position offers full-time hours with rotating shifts, travel to other sites as needed, and a comprehensive benefits package

• One year of work experience in a medical office or related field preferred; on-the-job training provided.

Hourly Pay Range:

$20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Medical Assistant (MA) - Primary Care

Position Highlights:

• Position: Medical Assistant
• Location: Vernon Hills , IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
• Hours: Rotating hours Monday-Friday between 6:30am-6:30pm
• Required Travel: Travel to other sites based upon department need

What you will do

• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

What you will need

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
