Job summary

IVI-RMA in Massachusetts is seeking a Clinical Assistant to support physicians and the care team with hands-on patient care. You will assist with clinical procedures, document measurements, and ensure a positive patient experience through accurate room setup and information delivery.

Qualified candidates have a CMA program certification, phlebotomy experience, and familiarity with EMR systems. Weekend and holiday work may be required; benefits include medical, dental, vision and more.

Qualifications

• 6+ months experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician practice.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• Prior experience in women’s healthcare – preferred.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physicians with clinical procedures.
• Follow proper protocols for all procedures.
• Practice phlebotomy.
• Document ultrasound measurements and provider comments; chaperone ultrasounds.
• Clean exam rooms and equipment per protocol.
• Set up and stock examination and procedure rooms.
• Maintain clinical supplies inventory.
• Specimen collection and processing for in-house and outside labs.
• Manage Lanfax for outside labs; enter results and email to provider team for review.
• Provide patients with information regarding upcoming procedures and reassurance before, during and after procedures.

Job description

The Clinical Assistant will promote and restore patients’ health by assisting in the nursing process and supporting physicians and other multidisciplinary team members with hands-on patient care. You will help to create a positive experience for our patients and ensure that patients receive high-quality service by assisting clinical team with patient care.

Essential Functions And Accountabilities

• Assist Physicians with clinical procedures
• Follow proper protocols for all procedures
• Practice phlebotomy
• Accurately document ultrasound measurements, provider comments and use appropriate stim templates while chaperoning ultrasounds.
• Clean exam rooms and equipment per protocol.
• Set up and stock examination and procedure rooms.
• Maintain clinical supplies inventory.
• Specimen collection, processing for in-house and outside laboratories.
• Manage Lanfax for outside labs, reports, results. Enter results and email to provider team for review.
• Provide patients with information regarding upcoming procedures and reassurance/comfort before, during and after procedures.
  

Academic Training

• Completion of Certified Medical Assistant Program – preferred
• Studies level: Certification
• Studies area: Nursing/healthcare assistant

Phlebotomy Program – preferred
