You will answer phones, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, register patients, verify insurances, and provide front-office support in a busy physician practice. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; medical assisting program preferred but not required
• Certification: CPR through American Heart Association required; MA cert preferred but not required
• Experience: 1 year in medical office or related field; on-the-job training provided

Responsibilities

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patients
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required
