Endeavor Health in Skokie, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant to provide front-office and clinical support in a busy physician practice. The role requires patient registration, appointment coordination, and basic vitals, with potential phlebotomy/injection duties as needed.

The position is full-time (40 hours/week) with daytime hours, and some travel to other locations may be required. High school diploma or MA program preferred; CPR certification required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of medical assisting program preferred but not required.
• Certification: CPR through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification preferred but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience in a medical office (or related field) required; on-the-job training available.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide front office support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patients
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required
