Job summary

You will answer phones, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, register patients, verify insurances, and assist physicians. Previous medical office experience is preferred; on-the-job training is provided. Full-time rotating shifts offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assisting program preferred but not required.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; MA certification preferred but not required.
• One year of work experience in a medical office preferred; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones.
• Schedule appointments.
• Collect co-payments.
• Complete patient registration.
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice.
• Check in and check out patients.
• Verify insurances.
• Greet patients and escort to exam room.
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for visit.
• Provide front office support as needed.
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight.
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required.
