Job summary

One GI, LLC is hiring a Medical Assistant for our Canton, OH clinic. The role involves scheduling procedures at clinic, ASC, and hospital, documenting vital signs, and assisting physicians during visits. A strong knowledge of medical terminology and a current BLS CPR certification are required.

High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory; previous MA experience or medical office work is preferred. We offer standard benefits and opportunities for growth within a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certified required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology required.
• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant helpful.
• Previous experience in a medical office environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for procedures at clinic, ASC, and hospital along with radiology and lab work.
• Reschedule cancelled procedures.
• Measure vital signs (weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and document in patient chart.
• Obtain, verify, and record health history of patients.
• Assist the physician with office visits and emergencies as needed.
• Manage patient prescriptions as directed by physician.
• Manage referrals as directed by physician.
• Answer patient questions and notify patients of test results.
• Schedule Research Patients.
