Gastroenterology & Hepatology Specialists, Inc. is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant in Canton, OH. The role focuses on scheduling procedures, recording vitals, and supporting physicians in daily patient care.

Requirements include a high school diploma, prior Medical Assistant experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and BLS/CPR certification. The schedule is 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant helpful.
• Previous experience working in a medical office environment preferred.
• BLS certified required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for procedures at clinic, ASC, and hospital along with radiology and lab work.
• Reschedule cancelled procedures.
• Measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and documents all information in patient’s chart.
• Obtain, verify, and record health history of patients.
• Assist the physician with office visits and emergencies as needed.
• Manage patient prescriptions as directed by physician.
• Manage referrals as directed by physician.
• Answer patient questions and notify patients of test results.
• Schedule Research Patients.
