Summit Health in Englewood, NJ is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs and NPs with patient flow, exam room preparation, and clerical duties. You will document vitals, allergies and medications in the EHR, manage schedules, and coordinate referrals in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma, completion of an accredited MA or phlebotomy program, BLS, and 0–1 year of experience (2–4 years preferred).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program.
• 0-1 year related work experience is required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner.
• Basic proficiency in computer use.

Responsabilités

• Prepares the examination room and escorts patient into the room.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and schedules appointments.
• Prepares pertinent information needed for patient visits.
• Documents vitals, allergies and medications in EHR accurately.
• Operates within scope of practice and follows safety protocols.
• Uses PMS and EHR to enter orders and schedule appointments.
• Provides referrals or consult orders in a timely manner.
• Assists in maintaining supplies and room readiness.
• Reconciles encounters daily according to policy.
• Communicates problems to Supervisor/Manager promptly.
• Provides scribing services as needed.

Formation

High School Diploma or equivalent

Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program

0-1 year related work experience

2-4 years related work experience preferred

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Ability to communicate in English

Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks

Basic proficiency in computer use
