Job summary

Summit Health Management is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs, or NPs with clinical duties and clerical tasks. You will prepare examination rooms, maintain patient flow, and document vitals and allergies in the EHR.

The role requires accurate data entry in PMS and EHR, and providing necessary referrals or orders in a timely manner. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited MA or phlebotomy program, 0–1 year experience, and BLS

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program is required.
• 0-1 year related work experience is required; 2-4 years preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares examination room and escorts patient into room.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and prepares information for patient visit.
• Documents vitals and allergies in the EHR and updates medication lists.
• Schedules appointments and enters orders in PMS and EHR.
• Provides scribing services and ensures safety precautions.
