Job summary

Summit Health Management is hiring a Medical Assistant to support physicians and advanced practice providers. The role includes preparing exam rooms, assisting with patient care, recording vital signs, and maintaining efficient patient flow across multiple sites.

The MA will document information in the EHR, manage scheduling and referrals, and ensure safety and compliance with departmental guidelines. BLS and English proficiency are required, with travel to satellite offices as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program.
• 0-1 year related work experience required.
• 2-4 years related work experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner.
• Basic proficiency in computer use.
• Travel: Ability to commute to satellite offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room.
• Escorts patient into the room and assists with care.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and supplies.
• Documents vitals and patient information in the EHR.
• Enters orders and schedules appointments in the PMS/EHR.
• Provides referrals and supports care coordination.
