Job summary

Summit Health Management is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs or NPs with clinical and clerical tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will prep examination rooms, assist with patient visits, and maintain accurate records in the EHR.

The role requires a Medical Assistant or phlebotomy program graduate, a High School diploma, and BLS certification (or within 30 days). Prior experience is preferred and travel to satellite offices may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program required.
• 0-1 year related work experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
• BLS or within 30 days of hire required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Proficiency with computers required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares examination room and escorts patient to room.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and proper preparation for visits.
• Documents information in EHR and updates medication lists.
• Communicates care aligned with patient needs and safety guidelines.
• Schedules appointments per departmental guidelines and manages messages.
