Job summary

Blanchard Valley Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in office and lab procedures, perform phlebotomy, injections, and point-of-care testing, and handle clerical duties while delivering patient-centered care. You will manage daily patient flow, prepare exam rooms, document charting, and assist with procedures, with cross-training across BVMP practices as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• May require cross-training to other BVMP practices as needed.
• Adhere to BVHS privacy policies and workplace civility.
• Provide care appropriate to patient age with growth and development considerations.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily patient and provider flow.
• Assist Physician with patient care.
• Prepare exam rooms and set up clinical areas.
• Follow directions from provider and leadership.
• Perform phlebotomy and point-of-care testing.
• Complete patient registration accurately.
• Document chart notes.
• Apply clinical and clerical skills to tasks.
• Enhance patient experience and uphold BVHS values.
• Participate in process improvement.
• Other duties as assigned.
