Job summary

Blanchard Valley Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in office and lab duties, point of care testing, injections, phlebotomy, sterilization of instruments and clerical tasks. Provide patient centered care.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED; medical assistant certification preferred.
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to cross-train to other BVMP practices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily patient and provider flow; assist physician with patient care.
• Prepare exam rooms and set up clinical areas for visits.
• Conduct phlebotomy and point-of-care testing as needed.
• Complete registrations, document charts, and use clinical/clerical skills.
• Support patient experience and participate in process improvements.
