Job summary

Blanchard Valley Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in office and lab settings, perform phlebotomy and point-of-care testing, assist with injections, and manage patient flow with a patient-centered approach. You will prepare exam rooms, complete registrations, document charts, and collaborate with providers to ensure efficient, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills are required.
• This position may require cross-training to other BVMP practices as needed.
• Compliance with BVHS privacy policies and professional behavior is required.
• Ability to assess patient needs across age groups and provide appropriate care.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily patient and provider flow.
• Assist Physician with patient care as required.
• Ensure that exam rooms are prepared for each visit and set up clinical areas.
• Able to follow directions from provider and leadership.
• Conducts phlebotomy and point of care testing as needed.
• Accurately complete the registration process.
• Chart documentation.
• Utilize clinical and clerical skills effectively.
• Enhance patient experience and uphold organizational mission, vision, and values.
• Participate in process improvement.
• Other duties as assigned.
