Job summary

Blanchard Valley Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in office and lab procedures, including point-of-care testing, injections, and phlebotomy. The role emphasizes patient-centered care and efficient workflow within a busy practice.

The successful candidate will assist with patient registration, chart documentation, and clinical support while adhering to BVHS policies and values. Training and cross-training across BVMP practices may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and strong patient-facing communication.
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal skills and effective communication are required.
• Ability to cross-train to other positions within the practice as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily patient and provider flow.
• Assist Physician with patient care as required.
• Prepare exam rooms and clinical areas for visits.
• Follow provider and leadership directions.
• Conduct phlebotomy and point-of-care testing as needed.
• Complete registration accurately and promptly.
• Document charting and patient information.
• Utilize clinical and clerical skills to support the team.
• Enhance patient experience and align with organizational mission and values.
• Participate in process improvement and other duties as assigned.
