Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering patient care. You'll work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience.

The role emphasizes welcoming patients, documenting histories, assisting with exams, administering medications, and coordinating care within a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of MA program and externship, internship or equivalent.
• Credentialed MA with state recognition is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
• Performs additional duties such as test tracking, managing tasks, gap in care, supply, medication ordering, surgery scheduling.
