Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. In this role, you will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience every day.

You will welcome patients, collect histories and vital signs, assist with exams and testing, administer medications, and communicate results to patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Successful completion of accredited/approved MA program and externship/internship.
• Credentialed MA: maintains MA Re-Cert CEUs.
• MA-Non-Credentialed: MA eligible to attain Medical Assistant Certification or EMT/Paramedic license in Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
