Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers and deliver exceptional patient care in Michigan. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, coordinate care, and help create a positive healthcare experience.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, recording histories and vitals, assisting with exams, administering medications, and educating families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of MA program/externship/internship or approved EMT/Paramedic training.
• MA certification preferred or eligible in Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement/disease management initiatives.
