Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. In this role, you'll work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience every day.

As a member of a patient-centered team, you will welcome patients, document histories and vital signs, assist with exams and testing, administer medications as directed, and help

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus one of the MA/EMT/Paramedic programs or athletic trainer certification.
• Successful completion of MA program and MA externship/internship.
• MA credentialing or EMT/Paramedic with Michigan licensure as applicable.
• 0–1 year clinical experience; if no MA program, 2+ years in community clinics.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
