OSUP Community Medical Group in Columbus, OH is seeking a Medical Assistant to support direct patient care and routine procedures per clinical protocol. The role includes rooming patients, taking vitals, and assisting with examinations under physician direction.

Candidates with a High School Diploma or equivalent and related MA training or experience are welcome; certification is encouraged and tuition reimbursement is available to help pursue it.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with one of the listed options.
• Minimum 1 year medical assisting experience.
• Military Medic training or EMT-P training may apply.
• One year combined experience and education can qualify.
• Preferred: Medical Assistant Certification.

Responsabilités

• Room patients, measure and record vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration.
• Complete patient interview and history.
• Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments and explain procedures; assist with procedures as ordered by physician.
• May assist in examinations, carry out treatments and special tests.
• Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients.
• Collect samples such as blood, urine and sputum from patients, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
• Manage and organize the medical office's inbox, ensuring timely communication with patients and providers.
• Oversee the reception of incoming patient information and gather necessary data for healthcare providers.

Formation

High School Diploma or equivalent

Medical Assistant Program diploma

Minimum of 1 year medical assisting experience

Military Medic training

EMT-P (Paramedic) training

Equivalent of 1 year combined relevant medical assisting experience and education
