OSUP Community Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support direct patient care in a primary and specialty care setting in Ohio. The role involves rooming patients, taking vital signs, preparing for exams, and assisting clinicians with procedures according to protocol.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent along with at least one of the following: a Medical Assistant Program diploma; minimum 1 year of medical assisting experience; Military Medic training; EMT-P training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preference: Medical Assistant Certification. Certified MAs receive additional compensation for certification and tuition reimbursement is available.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, measure and record vital signs (height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration).
• Complete patient interview and history.
• Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments; assist with procedures as ordered.
• May assist in examinations, carry out treatments and special tests.
• Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients.
• Collect samples (blood, urine, sputum) and perform routine lab tests.
• Manage and organize the medical office inbox; ensure timely communication with patients and providers.
• Oversee reception of incoming patient information and data gathering for providers.
