Zusammenfassung

OSUP Community Medical Group is hiring a Medical Assistant to support direct patient care and routine procedures in a busy clinic setting. You will room patients, take vital signs, interview patients, prepare exam rooms, and assist clinicians with examinations and tests.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus a Medical Assistant program or relevant medical experience. Certifications are preferred; tuition reimbursement is available for certification pursuit.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent with either a Medical Assistant program or relevant experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of medical assisting experience.
• Military Medic training or EMT-P (Paramedic) training.
• Equivalent of 1 year combined relevant medical assisting experience and education.

Aufgaben

• Room patients, measure and record vital signs (height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration).
• Complete patient interview and history.
• Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments and explain procedures; assist as ordered by physician.
• May assist in examinations, carry out treatments and special tests.
• Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients.
• Collect samples (blood, urine, sputum) and perform routine lab tests.
• Manage and organize the medical office's inbox and communication with patients and staff.
• Oversee reception of incoming patient information and data gathering for providers.
