Job summary

OSUP Community Medical Group is hiring Medical Assistants to support direct patient care and routine procedures in Ohio clinics. The role involves rooming patients, taking vital signs, interviewing patients, and preparing exam rooms while assisting physicians and nurses as directed.

Ideal candidates hold a Medical Assistant Program diploma or a relevant credential, with at least one year of experience; EMT-P or Military Medic training is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Diploma from Medical Assistant Program.
• Minimum of 1 year of medical assisting experience.
• EMT-P (Paramedic) training.
• Military Medic training.
• Certification in Medical Assisting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, measure and record vital signs including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration.
• Complete patient interview and history.
• Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments and explain procedures; assist with procedures.
• May assist in examinations, carry out treatments and special tests.
• Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients.
• Collect samples such as blood, urine and sputum and perform routine laboratory tests.
• Manage and organize the medical office inbox, ensuring timely communication with patients and providers.
• Oversee reception of incoming patient information and data gathering for providers.
