Comprehensive-Community-Action is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support our health center team in Rhode Island. You will gather patient information, take vital signs, document in the EMR, and assist providers during exams.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced environment. Bilingual Spanish is a plus; evening and rotating Saturday shifts may be required.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Triage skills required.
• MMR and TB precautions.
• Organizational skills essential.
• Excellent communication for all levels of client and staff.
• Professional telephone manner.
• Current CPR (BLS) certifications.
• Bilingual Spanish a plus.

Aufgaben

• Receive and process patients, take vitals (BP, weight, height, pulse, temperature) and record in EMR.
• Assist providers and patients, maintain confidentiality and safety.
• Schedule appointments, verify insurance eligibility, and document patient data.
• Prepare patients for examinations and tests and assist in rooms as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock examination rooms; handle lab/workflow tasks.
