Job summary

CCAP in Warwick, RI seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinicians by gathering demographic and financial data for billing, taking vitals, collecting specimens, and recording in the EMR for review.

Responsibilities include patient processing, triage, and assisting providers. Requires HS diploma or GED, CPR/BLS, strong communication, and confidentiality. Bilingual Spanish a plus. Full-time with evenings and rotating Saturdays; benefits include health, vision, dental, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Triage skills are required.
• Current CPR (BLS) certifications preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process patients, take vitals (BP, Wt., Ht., Pulse and Temp).
• Obtain and record patient data in EMR (Vitals, Social Hx's, PHQ's, Lab results).
• Perform routine diagnostic tests per protocol.
• Urinalysis, HbA1c, glucose tests, and pregnancy tests.
