Job summary

Oak Street Health seeks a Medical Assistant to gather patient information, support providers, and deliver a high-quality patient experience. You will work within a collaborative care team to assist in assessments, screenings, and routine tests during appointments.

The role requires strong attention to detail, flexibility, and excellent communication. Nursing support, vaccinations, and EMR use are part of daily duties in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• State or national MA certification or graduation from an accredited MA program.
• Minimum 1 year of medical assistant experience.
• CPR or BLS certification.
• Electronic Medical Record experience and basic computer skills.
• US work authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow and room patients in a timely manner; complete vital signs and required screenings.
• Inventory supplies and stock exam rooms; respond to patient requests for telephonic support.
• Administer vaccinations or point-of-care tests as allowed by state regulations.
• Import documents into EMR and participate in care team meetings.
• Process orders for durable medical equipment and manage patient records.
