Qualifications

• State or national certification or MA program completion.
• 1 year experience as a medical assistant.
• CPR or BLS Certification.
• Electronic Medical Record experience.
• Computer skills: Gmail, MS Word or Google Docs, Excel or Google Sheets.
• Proficiency in non-English languages as required by the center's demographics.
• US work authorization.
• Minimum of three years in MA role.
• Willingness to take on expanded responsibilities in MA role.
• Interest in greater clinical experience; working with geriatric patients; phlebotomy certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure an efficient patient flow; room patients in a timely manner, complete vital signs, screenings and medication reviews
• Inventory supplies and stock exam rooms
• Respond to patient requests for telephonic support (Lab results, records requests)
• May administer vaccinations and point-of-care tests per state regulations
• Import required documents into EMR via scanning or PDF upload
• Participate in care team meetings to discuss patient care and clinic operations
• Process orders for durable medical equipment
• Request medical records from external providers as required
• Maintain quality control and infection control measures, ensure center lab functionality
• Other duties as assigned
